Dar es Salaam. Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) is exploring potential partnerships with FinDev Canada to mobilise financing and support sustainable agricultural development in Tanzania.

The discussions took place during the 2026 World Bank Annual Meetings, where TADB engaged with development partners and financial institutions to identify opportunities for collaboration aimed at strengthening the country’s agricultural sector and food systems.

During the meetings, TADB held discussions with Mohammed Abdul-Razaq, Deputy Director and Head of Capital Mobilization and Partnerships, and Gerald Matthé, Senior Investment Officer at FinDev Canada.

The engagements focused on identifying areas of collaboration and strengthening partnerships to support agricultural development in Tanzania.

TADB’s priorities include climate financing, technical assistance and sustainable financing solutions to mobilise resources, reduce investment risks and expand access to finance across agricultural value chains.

Through these engagements, the bank aims to promote climate-resilient agriculture, inclusive growth and sustainable economic development in Tanzania.
