How TADB Is Transforming Tanzania’s Agriculture Through Affordable Financing

Dodoma. The Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) is playing a central role in transforming the country’s agricultural sector by providing low-interest loans and empowering small- and medium-scale farmers across the nation.

This achievement was highlighted today, August 1, 2025, at the NaneNane national exhibition grounds in Dodoma by the TADB Managing Director, Mr Frank Nyabundege. He made the remarks while briefing the Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Philip Mpango, during his visit to the bank’s pavilion prior to the official opening of the event.

“More than 1.95 million farmers have benefited from TADB’s support since its establishment, with over Sh1.13 trillion issued as capital to drive agricultural transformation since 2015,” Mr Nyabundege explained.

He added that TADB is not merely a financial institution but serves as a beacon of hope, a productivity catalyst, and a critical development partner for Tanzanian farmers.

TADB is this year’s main sponsor of the national NaneNane exhibitions, which were officially opened today by Vice President Dr Mpango.

As the bank marks its 10th anniversary, it celebrates a decade of substantial progress. Today, TADB stands among the leading banks in the country and continues to strengthen the agricultural sector’s contribution to national economic growth and development.
